Professional Trade Publications announced dates for the first annual Concrete Decor Show & Decorative Concrete Spring Training to be held on March 16-19, 2010. The focus of the new event is delivering superior, hands-on training for decorative concrete contractors and specialty artisans. Workshops and seminars in Phoenix, Arizona, will cover methods for concrete staining, stenciling, stamping, polishing, engraving, resurfacing, repair, renovation, countertops, artificial rockwork, vertical features and artistic specialties.

"Decorative Concrete has come of age," says Bent Mikkelsen, CEO. "Spring Training in Phoenix is a response to the dynamic growth of this creative business. Attendees will find a wide diversity of opportunities for training and education at our event - whether an experienced veteran wants to fine-tune the skills necessary to become a star player or move up to the big league by improving productivity to handle large-scale projects in commercial construction. It's also a chance for newcomers to learn from the pros and find the positions where they can excel." Mikkelsen exclaims, "March 2010 in Phoenix is the time and place where decorative concrete means business."

Certificates of completion will be provided for those attending hands-on Decorative Concrete Spring Training workshops at three proficiency levels. Educational courses at the Concrete Decor Show will explore new trends. An introduction to starting a decorative concrete business and courses to address the demands for green building solutions will also be offered. Information on using concrete to address green building criteria will be included. A pre-conference track including AIA-CES approved content will serve the interests of designers, architects, interior designers and landscape architects to understand both creative and performance aspects afforded by decorative concrete.
