Schomburg

A civil engineer (MSc.) from the "Technical University for Architecture and Engineering" (Hochschule für Technik und Architektur) Bern, Switzerland, and a Swiss federal certified sales & marketing specialist with 35+ years construction experience as a designer, contractor and marketer in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the US. He is a founding member of the ICRI Metro Washington Chapter and a member of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), ACI and CSI.

Having an MSc in analytical chemistry and PhD in instrumental analytical chemistry ensures that all AQUAFIN products are based on the newest technology. He also oversees the R&D laboratory at the main plant in Detmold, Germany with 25 full time employees, including 8 MSc and PhD chemists guaranteeing the latest cutting edge technology from Europe.

Michael has over 15 years of experience in the construction chemicals industry. He has worked for several companies as a chemist, formulating epoxies, paints, cementitious mortars and urethanes as well as waterborne and solvent base paints and coatings. He has a BS in Chemistry from Temple University and is a member of several industry organizations including CSI, ICRI, and ACS. Michael also oversees the R&D and quality control program in our Elkton lab.

Brian has over 25 years of successful experience in sales and management in the construction products industry. In addition to developing a regional network, Brian plays an important role in on-site training of new applicators and distributors throughout the nation. He has a marketing major from the University of Illinois and is a member of several industry organizations including CSI, ICRI and SWRI.

A former teacher (MSc) with experience in the US, Middle East and Africa, Merilynn is responsible for the corporate administration, accounts, shipping and customer service.

Robert brings an extensive background in account management, as well as experience with a building products distributor in New York. He is fluent in Spanish, a major asset for his market, and for the company as a whole. His main focus is development of the New York market.

Charles has a wealth of knowledge gained from his 26+ years of experience in construction materials, with a focus on moisture vapor mitigation, concrete restoration, waterproofing, coatings and a wide range of cementitious products. In addition to building up successful sales and distribution networks, Charles has been active in various professional organizations, such as CSI, ICRI and WFCA, and has appeared as a guest speaker for several national and international groups. His training in the arts (M.A. and M.F.A.) has provided a strong foundation for his multifaceted talents. Charles is focusing his efforts on developing the western territories and key national accounts.

Elena holds a degree in marketing from the R.H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. She is responsible for all of AQUAFIN’s marketing activities including trade shows, seminars and other events. She has been with the company since 2005, of which she spent 3 years working for our partner SCHOMBURG in Detmold, Germany. Elena is active in various professional organizations such as ICRI and CSI.
