General Charateristics: Instant Asphalt is a high performance, permanent, all climate and planet friendly, cold mix asphalt repair material. Instant Asphalt is a reactive, plant oil based asphalt repair material that requires only water and compaction to provide a permanent asphalt repair. Instant Asphalt is as fast and convenient to apply as cold patch, while offering the durability of hot mixed asphalt. Instant Asphalt is free of solvents and volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), and can be applied in ambient temperatures of 0°F–120°F. Typical Applications: Instant Asphalt is an ideal repair material, suitable for permanent repairs of potholes and distressed asphalt on bridges, highways, driveways, runways, taxiways, parking aprons, utility and storm water applications, parking lots and more. Site Preparation: • Remove all loose material; debris and standing water from area to be repaired. • Square-up the sides of the patch area until vertical sides exist in reasonably sound pavement. Placement Instructions: • To ensure performance, read all instructions prior to using. • PLACE Instant Asphalt in pothole or repair area and level material with a rake or trowel to stand approximate ½” above grade per 1” depth of material. • Important: SATURATE leveled material with approximate 0.5 gallon (1.9 L) of water per each 50 lb (22.7 kg) unit, prior to compaction. • COMPACT to a smooth surface with a hand tamper, vibratory plate or roller. Fill voids or low spots with additional material, saturate, and compact. • Self-curing. Instant Asphalt 6.0 & 9.0 • Repair areas in lifts of a maximum of 3”, and a minimum of 1”. Always, Place, Saturate, and Compact for each lift of material. • When applying in a confined area, open to traffic immediately. • When applying as an overlay, wait 60 minutes before opening to traffic.

BINDER: This material is a planet friendly plant based binder with bitumen which is a naturally occurring organic byproduct of organic materials and represents a total weight of approximately 5-9% of the finished product. This binder is a proprietary liquid and contains natural rape seed oil which improves stability and is a renewable natural raw material. Additional Physical Properties When placed in confined areas Instant Asphalt may be opened to traffic immediately after compaction. In unconfined areas best performance will be realized if waiting one hour prior to opening to traffic. If sealing or paving with a layer of hot applied material is desired, wait 24 hours for the material to fully cure. Volume Yield per 50 lb (22.7 kg) Unit

Instant Asphalt 4.0 • Use for repairing cracks, joints and applying thin overlays. • When applying as a thin overlay, apply at depths of 1/4” to a maximum of 1-1/2” per lift. • When applying in cracks or joints, ensure the material is saturated and then thoroughly compacted within the crack or joint. • When applying in a confined area, open to traffic immediately. • When applying as a thin overlay, wait 60 minutes before opening to traffic. • Clean Up: Use automotive hand cleaners to remove material from hands. Use vegetable oil based materials (butter) to gently remove material from facial areas. Clean tools with mineral spirits or vegetable oil. Avoid direct sunlight and exposure to freezing conditions. • Once the seal has been broken on a unit, reseal material that has not been removed from the pails or exposed to water as quickly as possible. Use opened pails within a month of the date the original seal was broken.
LIMITED WARRANTY: AQUAFIN, INC. warrants this product for a period of one year from the date of installation to be manufactured free of defects and to be consistent with its technical properties as stated in our current Technical Data Sheet. This product must be used as directed and within its stated shelf life. AQUAFIN INC. will replace or at our discretion refund the purchase price of any product, excluding cost of labor, which is proven to be defective. Our product recommendations are based on industry standards and testing procedures. It is the buyer’s obligation to test the suitability of the product for an intended use prior to using it. We assume no warranties written, expressed or implied as to any specific methods of application or use of the product. AQUAFIN INC.
